I have been absent from DVD Profiler for some time, and recently installed the new version and begun building my collection.

I noticed that all DVD's I had entered missed my contributor name, which I found irritating as I had put some work into lots of early horror titles. Whats up?

Eklund,

We now use an alias system which allows users to change their contributor and website information and have it propogate to their contributed titles.

You can set this in the My Profiler section of our site.  Changes take 24-48 hours to propogate.

Ok, I regged know. But as all my contributed titles where blank, that means if I dont register no will ever know that it was I who contributed them. Why remove the original credit?

Also on at least one title there were another name as original contributor, altough I remember that I provided the ranks, picture, info and actors (the most timeconsuming bit)

The old contributor system did not tie the contributor name to the user.  When we switched to the new system, we did our best to convert the existing contribution credit, but not everything was converted.

I believe there is also a problem with the software when you choose to update to the premium version.  I made some contributions when I had the FREE version, and did receive credit.  This posting made me realize that the contributions I have made, since I upgraded, have not been getting credit.  Is there someway to have the software update members automatically?  My second question, can someone update my registration at the Web Site so that I can receive credit now?
