| Posted: | | | | Thank you Dan! I've only seen one case that I would think is described as 'book' & that would be the type used for Region 2 Buffy & Angel boxsets. Have to say, a scan similar to yours would be very difficult! | | | Jon

| Posted: | | | | to show the difference between a keep and a snapper, you should probably scan them closed too | | | I have lost all hope of salvaging this program. I'm leaving this forum, this community, and not intending on returning. To all those with common sense, I hope you have the will to continue on. To all those without, congrats, you're normal in this twisted, messed up world. |

| Posted: | | | | I'm glad you guys like the images. I'll add the others as I get them. If you feel one needs a close-up tell me what you want to see and I'll try to add it.
This is a "Book" type case. [img src="http://webpages.charter.net/dwoodruff2/Book.JPG"]

| Posted: | | | | Cheers, Dan! That should help with the database
Next thread we need is one about how to scan straight or correct with photoshop (too many of my DVDs have slanted scans) | | | "The cinema is not the station, it is the train."-- Jean-Luc Godard. |

| Posted: | | | | That's easy!
Just place a marker (could be anything, paper, ruler, etc.) on the glass and line up the item being scanned to the marker. Then carefully remove the marker so you don't disturb the item being scanned. Carefully lower the scanner's cover and viola.
Any photo editing program should have a "Rotate Canvas" or "Rotate Image" manipulation that can be used. Choose "Arbitrary" and set it to a low number (0.1) and rotate the image until it looks straight. | | | Dan W
