We've recently experienced instances of users fabricating votes (through dummy accounts) to get their contributions passed.  In many cases the contributions are inferior to the existing profiles, but the evaluators have let some through due to the positive votes.

This is fair warning to anyone who is doing this to stop immediately.  Vote fabrication is a serious issue that undermines the voting system and the votes of your fellow users.  Violators will be banned from voting, contributing, and posting in the forums.

I welcome any changes that make it possible to have an accurate and unbiased database.

Bring on the rules and regulations!! Let the unclean be warned!!!

Kudos, Ken

I’d like you to take a look at this gun. The balance is excellent, this trigger responds to a pressure of one ounce. This gun was handcrafted to my specifications—and I rarely draw it unless I mean to use it. --Paladin

That's just pathetic.

The bootlegboys are on the loose again?

This just goes to show that no matter how well your protect your system there are always people who find a way to break it.

If your want to eliminate bad users. Let other (good) users vote for eachother too instead of only for their profiles.

Thanks, Ken, from me as well for all your efforts to make this whole thing work the way it's meant to be.

How childish!

Maybe it is possible to set per account if one can or cannot vote?
Who will be the jugde in who is allowed to vote. I'd say the die-hard core of this website/program.
If one cannot vote tough titty toenails. Others will be monitored by the core users.

Hm, well, I totally disagree. What about the many users who do not or cannot participate here? And who defines who is "die-hard"? You? I definitely won't take that burden.

Maybe a solution would be that only paid customers are allowed to vote ... Enter your registration key when registering here.

Or since it's IVS's (Ken's) program, he will make the decisions.

@Michael_ZZ

No I am definatly not the one who should say who can or cannot vote. Your idea about paying customers could indeed be a good option!
No matter what happens (either way I would probably not belong to either group of users and therefore lose my voting permissions) I will understand since we all want to keep it as clean and yet detailed as possible, and if that would be the way, then so be it!

In my opinion, this should have been implemented from the beginning...
