Quote: I can't blame Jykke for that... he did this with the Joan of Arcadia set... I just hope that wasn't one of the ones that got accepted!
I am lso hoping this will help... Thanks Ken!
Well Joan of Arcadia was changed by Picard99... and not only that... he used all his names to lock all the fields... so that no one could change what "HE" wanted on the database. so all I could change back was the title since Ken cleared all votes on titles for the new field.
Is there anything that can be done about this? | | | Pete DVD Profiler Friendly TV Show Episode Guides

I can't believe someone would do that! I don't have that title, but I'd create a support ticket if Ken doesn't notice your post. | | | "the main database is protected by many fanatics who argue minutia over the rules hour after hour, day after day, year after year" - Cliff |

Or people voting on titles they don't own if somebody provides the URL... | | | Nick

I know, I don't agree with that unless it's blatabtly obvious, e.g. changing toe overview from English to German on a UK R2 title.
But voting on links supplied by others is really taking the mickey. | | | Nick

There's a lot of good that one can do when voting on Wishlist titles. The most common thing I see is that User A submits a good profile for an upcoming release. Then bunches of folks start submitting back covers with incomplete profiles that attempt to rip most of the good info out.
On discs that I own, I don't put the disc in and review the beginning and ending credits to make sure the update is accurate. Well, not all the time. | | | ...James

This might be true, but how is this any different than creating multiple accounts to pad the vote your way?
Instead of creating multiple accounts, which is now against the rules, they get a few of their buddies to vote on the link provided instead.
If it is allowed for combating bad profiles it can be abused to contribute them as well. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
