| Posted: | | | | It has been suggested that I start posting a summary of Studio Information for everyone's benefit. So i'll take break from editing and updating and do a little on it, this will take awhile to compile so be patient.
Walt Disney Company Studios Walt Disney Pictures Touchstone Pictures Touchstone Television Hollywood Pictures Miramax Films Dimension Films Disney Enterprises
Distribution Company Buena Vista Home Entertainment Gaumont Buena Vista International (France)
Unacceptable Touchstone Walt Disney Disney Buena Vista Buena Vista H. E. Hollywood Miramax DisneyDVD( DVD Production division NOT Distribution) Walt Disney Home Video Disney/Buena Vista Dimension Home Video/Dimension Home Entertainment( also DVD Production Division) Miramax Home Video/Miramax Home Entertainment(same) Touchstone Home Video/Touchstone Home Entertainment Disney Enterprises, Inc. Hollywood Pictures Home Entertainment(DVD Production Division) Walt Disney Home Entertainment
There are 4 exceptions to this that I am aware of Popeye Dragonslayer should be listed as Walt Disney Productions because they were a joint venture with Paramount Pictures Something Wicked This Way Comes and Candleshoe Walt Disney Productions I would personally list this as Walt Disney Pictures for sake of consistency in sorting, but will not quibble with accuracy.

With any Studio it is possible to have more production Studios involved, such as Castle Rock Entertainment, Silver Screen Partners, etc. IF these are present use them in order of appearance on the Cover of preferably the film credits. If there are any spaces left over then enter DVD Distribution unit.
This is inteneded to be an informational/educational thread not a discussion thread.
As always if anyone would like to ask me a question or seek my assistance don't hesitate to send me a PM.

| Posted: | | | | Here's what I found on Universal Studios Home Entertainment...
Quote: Universal Studios Home Entertainment is a unit of Universal Pictures, a division of Universal Studios. Universal Studios is a part of NBC Universal, one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies in the development, production, and marketing of entertainment, news, and information to a global audience. Formed in May 2004 through the combining of NBC and Vivendi Universal Entertainment, NBC Universal owns and operates the No. 1 television network, the fastest-growing Spanish-language network, a valuable portfolio of news and entertainment networks, a premier motion picture company, significant television production operations, a leading television stations group, and world-renowned theme parks. NBC Universal is 80%-owned by General Electric, with 20% controlled by Vivendi Universal.
Doing a search on Universal's Studios website reveals a company structure as follows:
Universal Pictures: Universal Pictures Production Universal Pictures Marketing Universal Pictures Distribution Universal Pictures International Marketing and Distribution The Brand Group Universal Studios Consumer Products Group Focus Features Universal Studios Home Video Universal Pictures International Video Universal Worldwide Home Entertainment Universal Home Entertainment Production Universal Cartoon Studios Universal Pictures Visual Programming
So for Universal Home Entertainment by itself I would guess to be 'No'.
But what the heck do I know about this. Studios change names like I change underwear. | | | Gotta nip it in the bud, Andy! |

Even though we seem to be getting a lot of them, maybe this could be a "sticky?"
Will this be added to the resources site? | | | Ken Hershberger Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines. I’d like you to take a look at this gun. The balance is excellent, this trigger responds to a pressure of one ounce. This gun was handcrafted to my specifications—and I rarely draw it unless I mean to use it. --Paladin |

In that case, you need to add it to the "unacceptable" list! | | | Hal
